Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents, she began her career as a child performer soon after her move to the United States. From 2013 until 2016, she was the AT&T salesperson Lily Adams, and since 2020. She rose to fame due to her appearances in TV commercials. The commercials she appeared in were not the only thing she did. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). She also played a recurring role as a character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub has also voiced Squirrel Girl on the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after being cast as the character in the unaired TV pilot for New Warriors. Vayntrub, a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. At the age of 2 she left with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She moved to West Hollywood. At the age of five she started appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the financial struggles in her family. Vayntrub briefly studied at Beverly Hills High School. Following her sophomore year, she quit and obtained an GED. She went on to get a Bachelor of Arts, Communication from University of California San Diego. Vayntrub studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
